After March is a project for advocating awareness of unfair practices of the fashion industry. These unique, one-of-a-kind pieces are haute couture upcycled. And as we like to say, “Old is the new new.” But “upcycling” is a verb that needs a new polish: we call it SUPERFASHION.

“We eat Superfoods, so why shouldn’t we be wearing Superfashion?” Our trademark pioneering cut was in turning (normcore) sleeves into mood-boosting wings. The After March cape shirts and blazers are ethically produced, i.e., lovingly altered by local tailors in Berlin. They are also produced with zero-carbon emissions.

“The shirt off your back” is used in English to express true love, i.e., “I’d give her the shirt off my back”: as if that were your last possession!

After March wants to be just such a shirt, an expression of love for the environment. It is our goal that all upcycled After March shirts and blazers remain nomadic, from one friend to another. Sharing is Caring! After March shirts are handmade with love, handpicked from vintage stores and whimsically altered to add '“special effects”. In order to have a completely zero-carbon footprint, all production is done on bike, and our materials will always go back to mother Earth, composed of either 100% cotton or wool.

Further principles of After March:

*fair trade: all workers are paid fairly (i.e., the tailors and myself. After March has also made a pledge to never have unpaid interns!)

*exchange AFTER MARCH pieces with your friends after you are tired of them. This is why most of them have “wings.” They like to travel.

*no sweat: the extra arm holes keep you well ventilated! And any woman of my age can tell you that this is a dream feature!

*the feel-good effect: no shirt makes you feel more heroic than a shirt with 4 arms! multitaskers unite, at least in feeling, reminding you that you don’t need 4 arms. Slow down! But bike riding really fast is highly encouraged, #streamereffect!

*environmentally friendly: these shirts and blazers are the unwanted products that would otherwise end up filling landfills. As we know, fashion is one of the worst polluters in the world.

*weather adjustable: when it starts to rain and you need your trench, just reinsert your arms back into the normal holes and voilá: a shirt with really long arms, a nice detail to give you a new look. One that says: I am a lady of luxury and I do not do dishes!
